A taste of today´s technology

Look around

L

I have been drawing a lot in airports this week.  I know it´s a cliché but, in focusing on the faces of people who are sitting still, I have realised that everyone is looking at their telephone. All the time.  As I am trying to improve my sketching, this pleases me because it means that my subjects are motionless for ages — long enough for me to get a decent likeness down.

But I will never learn to draw eyes for these are all downward cast and comprise only of lashes.

As I sketch and reflect, I am reminded of the words of the famous Ferris Bueller:

Look around from time to time

I buy technology. I am curious about how technology has changed, and its impact in the workplace and upon society. I also like street art. And dachshunds. Especially dachshunds.
